The Wellington Group has been engaged to find an experienced Quality Engineer who will be responsible for leading the supplier quality program and quality systems for a growing electro-mechanical equipment company. This is an exciting new position with a growing company seeking a diverse Engineer with a strong EE, ME and Quality Engineering background. Put your Quality Engineering expertise in a new job today! Position Duties:? Investigate new processes, methods, innovations and testing techniques to continuously improve process quality and manufacturing process efficiencies? Interaction with suppliers to resolve quality issues including creating and executing on corrective action requests? Develop and implement key metric data tracking tools to assess supplier performance? Assists incoming quality inspection in resolving internal and external audit findings and observations, non-conformances and corrective action requests? Champion data driven decision making to achieve cost reduction, problem solutions and continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma tools? Review and evaluate new product designs and major product changes for feasibility and impact to processes, tooling, testing and quality? Manage regulatory compliance maintenance of product certifications and recertifications? Provide quality support in transferring new products to manufacturingThe qualified candidate will have:? BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Quality Engineering is ideal? 5+ years experience with Supplier Quality Engineering or Quality Engineering with electro-mechanical equipment? ASQ certified and Lean Six Sigma training and/or certification? Strong process improvement background and CI mindset? Experience with design of experimentation and Kepner-Tregoe methods to problem solving is ideal? Experience supporting the transfer of new products and processes to manufacturing? Knowledge or experience with regulatory requirements and compliance for industrial equipment (CE, ROHS, EMC, Safety, UL)? Strong written and verbal communications skills are required for this role, will work with various departments and deal extensively with suppliers and vendors? Able to work in a team based environment with both new product development (R&D), production departments and back office personnel?
