The Wellington Group has been engaged to find an experienced product launch professional to serve as the product support Lead Engineer for product innovations; from concept and R&D through to scale-up, production and commercialization. Ideal candidate has a strong project management and cross-functional team leadership background for the development of electro-mechanical products. Put your project management, Stage Gate collaborations, product development and manufacturing experience to work in a new job today!The Product Launch Leader will work closely with Marketing, Design, Engineering and Production to push forward the development and launch of new products. We are seeking a strong communicator and collaborator with experience using a Stage Gate type process for new product development and innovations. This role is responsible for creating the development schedule, control plans, budget and driving the execution and collaborations. Must be a hands-on, creative, passionate Engineer who enjoys being at the center of leading product innovation. Exciting new position with a global leader in niche technological solutions. The qualified candidate will have:? Seasoned Engineer with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously ? BS or MS Degree in Engineering is ideal, Project Management training and/or certification is a plus? 5 to 10 years experience leading the product development and innovation process? Experience with plastics, machining, molding and casting for electro-mechanical products? Solidworks or other 3D computer modeling tools? Experience with transitioning products from Development to Production, collaborating with Manufacturing and Production on assembling production cells for pre and post product launch? Robotics and automation experience is ideal? Working with vendors and consultants for outside parts, components and design needs, experience sourcing vendors and suppliers as needed? Experience using Stage Gate type process for New Product Development? Able to collaborate and work in a cross functional team effort for successful product launch? Experience with product specifications, DOE, DFMEA, SPC and is ideal?
